The apparel industry is the largest remittance earner in Bangladesh. This sector is still lacking professional or skilled manpower.WUB started the Department of Textile Engineering to create competent manpower to bridge the gap between the demand and supply in this sector. This is also in line with the basic philosophy of WUB i.e utilitarian education for economic emancipation. We have highly qualified & experienced (PhD.) full time teachers supplemented by guest teachers from public universities & other professional bodies besides state-of-the art lab facilities for the practical training of the students.

Fees Waiver

10-100% Fee Waiver for meritorious but poor students. 50% fee waiver for sons and daughters of freedom fighters, females, Physically handicapped, Geographically backward and that on the basis of admission tests.

Admission Requirements

2nd Division of GPA of 2.50 in SSC and HSC separately or total GPA of 6.00 with minimum GPA of 2.00 either in SSC or in HSC or total GPA of 5.00 in SSC and HSC for level wards of the freedom fighters or equivalent or 3 O level, 2 A level.
